In June 2020, using data from prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Association of American Medical Colleges reported that a physician shortage is imminent. Now more than ever, our world urgently needs qualified physicians. Today’s students need a better way to prepare for high-stakes exams - it’s no longer adequate to simply open a book with thousands of questions and start with the first. Residology will change the way doctors prepare for exams.
Residology is an educational game aimed at reducing the anxiety associated with medical examinations and providing more efficient and targeted test preparation.
A New Way to Prepare
Residology gamifies US medical examination preparation. The game will progress players through questions drawn from their question data bank to create interactive game scenarios, using machine learning to adapt topic repetition and ensure players spend their limited time on areas that need the most preparation.
Established Industry Leadership
Owner and operator, Dr. Kevin Ferguson, will lead Residology’s development. With a robust 30 years in academic medicine, Dr. Ferguson has the necessary experience in both medicine and education to support this endeavor.

Residology will partner with Filament Games, a leading educational video game development studio. Filament Games will rely on Dr. Ferguson’s years in medicine to guide their game development and create an invaluable tool for resident test preparation.
